Tales of the Maya Skies_FLAT_FINAL_TRAILER_ENGLISH
Tales of the Maya Skies", is the new fulldome show produced by Chabot Space & Science Center in cooperation with ARTSLab in New Mexico and the Institute for the Study and Integration of Graphic Heritage Techniques (INSIGHT) in Emeryville, CA.
Narrated by Latin Grammy Award winner Lila Downs, "Tales of the Maya Skies" takes audiences to the jungles of Mexico, presenting the rich history and culture of the ancient Maya and highlighting their remarkable achievements in astronomy and mathematics.
Funding for the production of "Tales of the Maya Skies" was provided by the National Science Foundation and the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. It is the first full-dome digital show highlighting a Latin American culture, and both Spanish and Yucatec Mayan language narration is available in addition to English.
The show kit includes very complete marketing and education materials, fulldome and flat screen trailers, and even the Digital Sky scripts used to create the astronomical sequences in the show so the concepts can be readily expanded upon in a live setting in any DS equipped dome.
