Rick Pirko, thank you

Rick Pirko (Ward Beecher Planetarium, Youngstown State University, Ohio, USA) was one of those brilliant and versatile technical people without whom planetariums could not exist. I saw his skill in action at a couple of GLPA conferences and later asked for his help -- which he generously offered -- in advising another museum. His passing reminds us that every day is precious.

If any planetarium network members happen to attend the memorial for Rick in Youngstown on October 25, I'm sure a report and a picture or two would be appropriate on this site.
